May 2010Conference+ Meetings World33 PHOTORANGE Gulf Growth The fourth GIBTM exhibition took place in March at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre. The Reed Travel Exhibitions event attracted 260 hosted buyers from 40 countries, up 10 per cent on 2009. Seven thousand five hundred pre- scheduled meetings took place between buyers and the 220 exhibitors - up from 6,390 last year. CMWwas at the event to capture all the action. 34Conference+ Meetings WorldMay 2010 PHOTORANGE A South African adventure CMW and South African Tourism took a group of UK- based hosted buyers to explore South Africa's meetings and events offer, no doubt bolstered by major infrastructure investments prior to next month's FIFA World Cup 2010. The group experienced traditional African hospitality, from hotels, event spaces, and the wildlife as well.
