Organisers can easily take advantage of the instant theming already in place in this Olympic city. Even for those shuddering at the thought of a fi ve-ringed event may then be able to take advantage of the city's recent infrastructure and transport upgrades. Companies investing in corporate hospitality at the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games are likely to earn a return on investment exceeding 12 per cent, according to a recent report, which estimates the total value at £1.6bn for those involved. The report was commissioned by Prestige Ticketing, appointed to operate the 2012 in-venue hospitality programme by London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games (LOCOG). It also revealed the total value of 2012 Olympic hospitality is set to exceed more than £3bn as companies seek top tickets.Smart Event Catering has been commissioned by LOCOG to provide the catering for the Olympic Hospitality Centre. The caterer will work alongside celebrity Chef Angela Hartnett to provide hospitality for Olympic sponsors and their guests during the London 2012 Games."With the Olympics on everyone's mind it might be wise to enhance an event with this theming," Sales Manager of caterer Payne & Gunter, Jayne Denneny, told CN: "Food for the Olympics is going to be really exciting as we will be looking at hosting events for a number of different countries' tastes and styles. "In addition to this we envisage that guest numbers at parties and events will also be high so food stations will be a really fantastic way to showcase international food in an interactive way. This is perfect as we can continue to use locally-sourced ingredients while adding bespoke 'twists' to the menus." So this is the year to make the most the capital has to offer, and despite the rumours there are still deals to be had with venues and suppliers during this time. On your marks...
