We honor Professor Gayl S. Westerman, who retired from the Law School in September 2011, for her numerous contributions to International Law Programs during the course of her 33 years of service in our community. Professor Westerman was instrumental in creating many of our most prominent and popular international law programs including: · Pace London Law Program, now celebrating its 27th consecutive year, · the Human Rights in Action Program providing opportunities for students to do a summer internship at a war crimes tribunal or at a humanitarian aid agency abroad, · the Pace/International Criminal Law Network (ICLN) International Criminal Court Moot Competition in its 9th year, · summer internships abroad for those interested in private international law, · Co-author of preeminent international law text, International Law in Contemporary Perspective (with W.
