Built on nearly 40 years of experience in educating pri-mary health care family nurse practitioners, our innovative curricu-lum meets the eight essential content areas identified by the Ameri-can Association of Colleges of Nursing for the DNP. State certified, board eligible family nurse practitioners with master's degrees and advanced practice experience are welcome to apply for advanced standing.What you learn Our DNP will prepare you for the most advanced level of clinical nursing practice. You will design, implement, evaluate, and continu-ously improve health care delivery and outcomes using a culturally competent evidence-based approach. How you learn This three-year program is offered in an executive format. Students meet at Pace's New York City Campus five times per semester for each course they are taking. The remainder of the coursework takes place online and is supported by communication technology. Cours-es are designed to help you understand the relationship between clinical practice and organizational systems, finance, health care policy, economics, ethical and legal contexts of practice, teaching and learning, analytic methods, and information systems in primary health care.
