CORKSCREW SWAMP SANCTUARY - National Audubon Society owned 11,000 acre nature preserve. 2¼ mile boardwalk through primeval swamp and virgin cypress stand. EVERGLADES NATIONAL PARK - The third largest national park in the US. FAKAHATCHEE STRAND STATE PRESERVE - 3,200 foot long boardwalk (with a 865 ft trail leading to it) and hiking trail through virgin cypress in the major drainage slough of southwestern Big Cypress Swamp.
