Exquisite gourmet dining doesn't cost the sky at Sasso's International Cuisine and Seafood restaurant on Winterberry Drive. Despite the fact that all the ingredients (from the freshest of fi sh to the highest quality dry aged steak) are the very best available and everything (from basic stocks to the eighteen different sauces served) is made from scratch, entrées on the main menu start at just $13.95 and include a choice of Caspian House Salad or Soup du Jour. The setting is delightful.... a sophisticated yet elegantly simple Mediterranean style villa where no detail has been overlooked, from the fabulous Murano glass chandeliers (imported direct from Italy) to the meticulously hand-painted crown moldings. There are three separate spacious dining rooms, an outdoor piazza, where you can enjoy a cocktail or dine under the stars, and a separate cozy bar. Looking at the entrée menu there is no doubt that fi sh is the star of the show. The grilled swordfi sh, served on a bed of sautéed calamari with artichokes, kalamata olives in a spicy marinara sauce, is highly recommended. "Create a Plate" allows diners to choose from a wide variety of fi sh which can be grilled, pan seared or blackened and accompanied by their choice of three delicious side dishes and a variety of sauces like lemon butter, fresh tomato white wine sauce, tropical fruit chut-ney and pineapple ginger sauce. The carnivores amongst us are also well catered for with options l i k e sumptuous steaks, veal Marsala and duck. The wine bar offers a selection of over twenty wines by the glass in 3oz tasting or 6oz servings and there is always a casual bar menu available with several appetizer choices suitable for sharing. T h e wine bar also offers a popular nightly Happy Hour, from 5-7pm. Sasso's also features special wine pairing menus and international theme weekly specials as well as the fi nest live entertainment and dancing on the island (call or visit www.sassos.comfor performers' schedule and weekly international specials). They also specialize in private parties, from the most intimate up to 150 guests, and would be delighted to host your next special occasion be it a party, birthday, wedding or corporate event. |
