Restaurant Roundup ...There's a lot to keep up with in Marco's Restaurant scene! Five new eateries opened last year - Davide's, Marco Island Brewery, O'Donoghues, Stonewall's and Zsa Zsa's and this year there's four more to add to the list - Guy & Lisa's Phillygrille (serving great fl atbreads, salads and soups), Red Rooster (for breakfast and lunch), Simply Cupcakes and Teapot Café & Catering. See our Dining Guide on page 110 for more details. And we hear that Simply Cupcakes in Olde Marco, which has only been open a few months, is expanding already! They have revamped the community courtyard, with brightly colored tables and huge umbrellas, and will be opening a dessert shop in the space next door. Offering homemade key lime pie, chocolate dipped strawberries and crème brulees they'll be open from 5-10pm, so, from sometime in mid to late May, you'll be able to grab dessert, surf the web on their free wi-fi , relax and listen to live, local musicians under the stars. If you're here at the beginning of May, don't miss the island's best Cinco de Mayo party at Margarita's in Town Center Mall. They'll be live entertainment, great giveaways and the margaritas will be fl owing at this newly expanded Mexican restaurant. And Finally... don't forget that many of our local restaurants will be reducing their hours of opera-tion after Easter so remember to check with them before you leave home to avoid disappointment.Shop 'til you Drop! ...It's spring time and Sunsations, on South Collier Blvd, is the island's Spring Break Headquarters... with the best selection of top quality brand names like Jantzen, Skechers and Speedo, they have everything you need to make your spring break complete. And, if you're looking for something different and environmentally friendly, Christie at Blue Mangrove Gallery in Marco Town Center Mall, has recently brought in a line of runway bags that she describes as hip, sharp and stylish. These functional and durable, yet sexy purses, are made from re-cycled materials that include aircraft cable, high quality marine vinyl and pine wood! A New Face at Skin Renewal Systems ...Dr Kent Hasen, a Naples plastic surgeon, is Skin Renewal Systems' new medical director. He will be offering regular consultations and new proce-dures like Velashape and Thermage at Marco's ever expanding holistic medical-spa.
