As you can see, we had lots of great photos sent in for our photo competition this issue. Choosing a winner was diffi cult but Theresa Johnson Aurori, a part-time Marco resident, won fi rst prize, and a $50 gift certifi cate for a local restuarant, with her two beautiful images, marked (A). The burrowing owl photo is so clear and is one of the best I've seen of this feisty little bird and her gorgeous canal sunset is just so "Marco Island"! But they were all great photos... Image (B) was taken by another Marco part-timer, Dee Quintero. Her husband and son love to fi sh and are shown patiently awaiting a bite on Hideaway Beach. Photo (C) was sent in by Cynthia Rowley and shows her parents celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary at Marco Beach Ocean Resort. The lovely sunset image (D) was taken outside the Marriott, on June 1st, by Keith Swango and the amazing image (E) of Chris Tsiros, and his daughter, Halee, having fun on Marco beach was sent in by his wife, Amy. Jacqueline Boswell of Bensalem PA, shown in image (F), had a great vacation on Marco in May; Rebecca Miller, im-age (G), found this little sea horse on Residents' beach and helped him "saddle up and get back in the water"; and Marco Islander, Chris Denci captured this gorgeous Marco sunset. And, last but not least, image (I) shows an unusual framing of a sunset sent in by Mary Kay Mickiewica, of the Isles of Capri. If you have any local images you'd like to share with fellow readers either e-mail them, along with some informa-tion about your subject, to firstname.lastname@example.org, or mail them to the address on page 6. We'll print as many as we can, giving you credit and awarding a prize to the photo(s) we consider to be the best in each issue. Please note that by sending us your images you are giving us per-mission to use them as we see fi t in The Marco Review.
