In closecollaboration with Olympic Solidarity, a newdevelopment fund,controlled by the FIVB,has been created. It allows the federationsaffiliated to the FIVB to propose projects forfunding through their NOCs. One of the keyprojects launched last year was the BeachVolleyball Continental Cup, which launched anadditional qualifying process for the 2012 OlympicGames in London. It has seen 153 countriesparticipating in 62 tournaments throughout theworld. In previous years, the qualification processwas limited to the FIVB Beach Volleyball SwatchWorld Tour.
