27{ Alejandra Lopez '10, dual major in Political Science and Women's and Gender Studies } New York City Through two scholarships from the Washington Center, Alejandra watched history unfold during internships at both the Democratic and Republican National Conventions and at the 2009 Inauguration of President Barack Obama. As a delegate for the Model United Nations and during a trip to South Africa with her Comparative Race and Gender course, the Dyson College of Arts and Sciences and Pforzheimer Honors College student discovered her passion for international human rights issues and developed the skills to advocate on behalf of others.
