MYBA SHOWCASE T aking place at the same time as the Monaco Yacht Show, the MYBA Selection is a new ' At Anchor' show that will allow buyers to visit a fleet of yachts anchored off Cap Ferrat. Private viewings can be arranged via CNI brokers, and clients will be taken by tender or courtesy car from the Monaco Yacht Show. AUTUMN 2009I sea& iI17 newsandviews BookWonderful comes to Monaco On the occasion of a private dinner onboard the 69.95m ( 288') Sherakhan during the 19th Monaco Yacht Show, guests will be given the opportunity to preview a unique book hand crafted by the Marilena Ferrari Foundation, dedicated to Antonia Canova, entitled L'Invenzione della Belleza ( The Invention of Beauty). Launching this Autumn, the masterpiece is part of the BookWonderful collection that the Italian publishers started last year with the limited edition of ' Michelangelo, La Dotta Mano' ( The Learned Hand). The books are pieces of art celebrating the Masters that they are dedicated to. Each book is handcrafted by master artisans using skills dating back to the Renaissance. Each book takes about six months to execute. The first in the series was launched in conjunction with the 500th anniversary of Michelangelo's work at the Sixtine Chapel. Although that may seem paradoxical in this day and age, the art piece ( with its marble carved cover) was an instant hit and has since joined the collections of rare books in the New York and Paris National Libraries. Each of the 99 numbered copies is valued at at US$ 130,000. Both Bernard d'Alessandri, Managing Director at YCM, and Jonathan Syrett, President of the International Relations Committee for the Royal HISPANIA Foundation had high hopes to see the two classics match- race again in celebration of their centenaries ( both yachts were built in 1909) but the global recession has made it increasingly difficult to raise funds to sup-port such activities and the restoration process highlighted in our feature on clas-sic yacht restoration in sea& iissue 13 has since stopped, although nearing completion. For more information visit www. fundacionhispania. org After more than 30 months of restoration work at the Francesco del Carlo shipyard in Viareggio, Italy, the 1937, 22.2m ( 72') ketch EILEANis nearing completion thanks to Officine Panerai's Angelo Bonati, who spear-headed the painstaking project that will see her return to the seas ( see sea& i13). With work now well under way refitting her interior and recruiting her crew, the company plans to launch Eilean on Italy's Amalfi coast this com-ing autumn. She is predicted to provide fierce competition when she competes in the Panerai Classic Yachts Challenge in 2010. For more information visit www. panerai. com

We are therefore very pleased to announce that Camper & Nicholsons International are the exclusive brokerage house selected to provide support to the portal for yacht charter and acquisition.
