Butthat means it's Parade of HomesSMtime, and theBuilders Outreach Foundation has chosen fivebeautiful dream homes to feature. Hickory FineHomes in Plymouth and Refined LLC in Edinaare our new construction Dream Homes, whileJohn Kraemer & Sons in St. Paul, StonewoodRenovations in Edina and Plekkenpol Buildersin Eden Prairie are our Dream RemodeledHomes. We chose these homes due to their his-tory, character and exciting amenities. This fall,we're pleased that 30 percent of the entrancefees will go to our Rebuild Haiti project. BOF isso excited to be a part of this worthwhileendeavor, and are thrilled that so many of ourmembers are participating.Interfaith Outreach PartnershipAs we've done in the past, this summer BOFdid a project with Interfaith Outreach andCommunity Partners. With the help of somegreat BOF volunteers, we constructed fourdecks and a fence in Wayzata. "We are so pleased to have the donation of aninstalled fence and dumpster enclosure atBoulevard Apartments, which provides afford-able housing for six families," said Kim Vohswith Interfaith Outreach. "These items are high-ly visible on the site, so the quality work doneby the Builders Outreach Foundation volunteersenhances the whole project. We are proud tocontinue the partnership between BuildersOutreach Foundation and Interfaith Outreach& Community Partners, which has been ongo-ing for many years. Thanks so much for yoursupport of our joint mission of providing afford-able housing for families in need."Fundraising EventsBOF again got to participate in the BATC golftournaments this summer. We sold plenty ofmulligans plus more than a few cigars. We hada great time both days, plus made some moneyfor BOF.We'd like to thank the Builders Club for theopportunity for BOF to sell cookies at theirevent at Harriet Island in August. It was a hotday, but we had a wonderful time and raisedsome dough for BOF's future projects.Next projectBuilders Outreach Foundation is looking topartner with the City of St. Paul to rehab orbuild homes under the NeighborhoodStabilization Program. We also may have anoth-er opportunity to partner and rehab a home fora returning handicapped Iraqi veteran.Women BuildBOF was proud to again support theProfessional Women in Building Council intheir work day for Habitat for Humanity. Theproject was located at 3547 Emerson AvenueNorth, and fifteen PWB members participated.The Chalet goes to the State FairThe Chalet made a lovely new attraction atthe State Fair this year in the new Parade ofHomesSMbooth. BATC members handed outGuidebooks from the Chalet, and everyone hada great time.
