The Healthier Scotland Cooking BusThe Healthier Scotland Focus on Food Cooking Bus is attending The Scottish Learning Festival to showcase its work.The Healthier Scotland Cooking Bus travels throughout Scotland teaching pupils, teachers, parents and community members cooking skills, healthier eating, food safety and hygiene and where food comes from.At SLF delegates can sign up for a training workshop, there will be two workshops per day. Fear Not! If the sessions are fully booked you can sit outside the front of the Bus and watch the examplar workshop on the outside TV screen.Early Years Zone Enhance the progression of your early years pupils, with the very latest resources and ideas from a range of exhibitors including: YPO, Barefoot Books, Wonderbox, Ameeca Ltd, Sticky Kids and many more!Scottish Education Village Come along and see the new look and engaging stands that showcase the main areas of work from the Scottish Government, LTS, SQA and HMIE.Education ShowcaseLocated within the exhibition hall as part of the Scottish Education Village, this dedicated presentation area features a range of presentations hosted by practitioners and young people form across Scotland and will cover a range of topics. Sessions aer not pre-bookable, simply come along to see whats' happening. Learning in PracticeHome to the Local Authority, Developing Global Citizens and Cultural Villages, this essential part of SLF provides delegates with the chance to find out more about what's happening across the country and about the resources available from a range of organisations. The Local Authority Village -find out more about strategies and resources being developed by local authorities and meet practitioners and authority staff to share knowledge and ideas.The Cultural Village -discover a range of resources and services available from national providers including representatives from the Heritage Education Forum and the Scottish Arts Council. The Travelling Gallery, a unique, self-contained, custom-built mobile art gallery will bring contemporary art to SLF .The Developing Global Citizens Village - brings together of a wide range of teachers from across Scotland's primary and secondary schools who will be showcasing and discussing resources and ideas used in their teaching and learning for international education, sustainable development, citizenship, Confucius Classrooms and developing global citizensDiscussion ZoneSLF 2010 welcomes back the Discussion Zone, which provides delegates with the opportunity to engage in discussions with a range of presenters. Covering a range of topics, the Discussion Zone allows visitors to listen to and have discussions with presenters in a friendly and informal setting. Sessions are not pre-bookable, simply come along and join a group.
