Printing ProcessesWe use only premium quality; eco-friendly and UV treated inks that produce the most vibrant final colors for the best final product. Spot-color Silk Screen Printing is the optimal and economical choice for solid color, simple artwork. This printing process is only available on certain products. Full-color Digital Dye Sublimation is a specialized type of digital printing that produces the absolute highest quality images. It is best for complicated and detailed artwork, and is necessary to print raster artwork and gradients. All products are available with this printing type.Digital Dye Sublimation PrintingDye Sublimated Printing involves large scale digital printers, with heated image transfer from paper to fabric. Intricate photos and gradients are printed in CMYK, and Spot Colors can be used in certain areas with vector artwork. On a single sided banner, the image that is printed on the front side, actually bleeds through to the backside 100%, thereby showing a complete reverse image. On a double sided banner, two separate pieces of fabric are printed, and are then sewn together with a block liner in between, which minimizes any light ghosting from side-to-side.On a single sided banner, the image that is printed on the front side, only bleeds through to the back side about 30%, thereby showing a muted reverse image. On a double sided banner, two separate pieces of fabric are printed, and are then sewn together with a block liner in between, which minimizes any light ghosting from side-to-side.Silk Screen PrintingSilk Screen Printing involves the creation of stencil-like screens in order to imprint an image. A screen is made of the logo or graphic and then painted onto the banner. Vector art and Pantone colors are necessary for this process.Single SidedDouble SidedDouble SidedSingle SidedPolyester fabrics absorb ink differently and may produce slight variations in color, texture and clarity. Electronic / Virtual Proofs:We provide one (1) high resolution electronic proof for each order. Additional proofs needing revisions may incur a charge of $20.00 each. Proofs are emailed to the client, and are a mandatory requirement for all orders. It is the client's responsibility to carefully look at the proof and to advise if there are any corrections.Pre-Production Printed Samples:Unless an order is a repeat, we produce a pre-production sample for all orders over 100 pieces. For smaller orders, the client may request a pre-production sample. By requesting a pre-production sample, the actual mass-production process will be delayed, until all necessary approvals have been provided by the client. We provide art guidelines and vector-based templates to clients that wish to create their own art. Vector art files are the preferred format, as they allow us the ability to make any file modifications associated with proper production. Art files with sizes of 5MB or smaller, can emailed directly to your sales representative. Any files that are larger than 5MB will need to be uploaded to our FTP server, please contact your sales or customer service representative for FTP log-in information. A raster image is a collection of dots called pixels. Each pixel is a tiny square with assigned color value. They are created using a grid of pixels to define the image. Raster graphics are resolution dependent. They cannot scale up to an arbitrary resolution without loss of apparent quality. Raster ImagesRaster images are known as "continuous tones".FILE FORMATS: .psd, .jpgA vector image (paths or strokes) is the use of geometrical primitives such as points, lines, curves, and shapes or polygon(s), which are all based on mathematical expressions, to represent images in computer graphics. They can be scaled up or down without any loss of quality. Vector ImagesVector images are known as "line art".FILE FORMATS: .ai, .eps, .pdf (created in vector-based program)Artwork Guidelines*Vector art is the preferred file type, it will print crisp and sharp (even when re-sized).All text must be converted to outlines. Outlined Text provides convenient scaling. If your text is not converted, a font shift may occur.Artwork must be created in CMYK color mode. Files created with a different color mode will automatically be converted. We match spot colors using the PANTONEĀ® Solid Coated Color Book. To use these colors, Vector artwork is necessary for this process.File RequirementsOutline TextCMYK ModePantone Matching Systembanners4branding.com5
