School & Group Activity Trips 01202 677 272Poole, in Dorset, is set at the eastern edge of the World Heritage Jurassic coast, with views of Corfe Castle and the ancient Saxon walled town of Wareham. Dorset provides sights, history, activities, countryside and space for all.Of the many places in the UK for watersports, Poole Harbour offers possibly the safest and most idyllic location. With its tens of square miles of shallow, sheltered water and with the Purbeck hills as backdrop, the island-dotted harbour offers a beautiful and challenging environment for beginners and experienced sailors alike. Poole Harbour is designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and a Special Protected Area (SPA). The heathlands surrounding the harbour have been designated a Special Area of Conservation (SAC). Parts of the harbour are local and national nature reserves. Areas of heathland support rare birds, invertebrates and reptiles, while pine woodland on some of the harbour's islands, such as Brownsea, are of national importance for some of England's last surviving populations of red squirrel.Rockley Point is located at the north west side of the harbour in a quiet area with an advisory 6 knot speed limit. Here you will see, as you enjoy our activities, amongst the harbour's small bays and inlets, many bird species feeding, roosting and breeding.poole harbourWe have two centres in Dorset located on beautiful Poole Harbour and Poole Park lake.UK - DORSETWHERE YOU CAN GO?
